It’s that time, again.
It’s that time again. Room in the Inn is a wonderful program, and Holy Covenant is blessed by participating in it each year. If you are unfamiliar with this ministry, there are links below to share with you more about this effort.
Dates for RITI are the 3rd Sunday of the month: December 18, January 15, February 19, and March18. The sign up board will be up in the Gathering room this Sunday! Things we need:
New twin sheet sets for the mattresses and pillow cases (white preferably)
New washcloths and towels
Volunteers for short pre-dinner entertainment
Board Games, Cards, Magazines, PG-13 and Under Videos
Musical Instruments for any neighbors that may want to play them. (Whomever lends these will need to bring them on the day of RITI and pick them up no later than the following Sunday.)
We would also like to be able to give small gift to each neighbor (there will be 8) for the December 18 dinner. We did bus passes last years and they were well received. Since 1996, Charlotte’s Urban Ministry Center has been asking colleges and congregations of many faiths to make Room in the Inn — to open their facilities one night a week to provide shelter and food for the homeless during the winter months.
